Travon “Trizzy” Howard is a recording artist, record producer, and songwriter from Utica, New York, known for blending sharp lyricism with dynamic production. He first gained attention in 2012 with the viral track “My Own Style,” which led to its official single release in 2013. After a series of mixtapes, Trizzy founded Ruby Recordings and released his debut album Winners Never Quit in 2016. His follow-up project, My Name is Trizzy (2018), marked a new chapter in his artistic evolution. In 2021, he continued to build momentum with “Two Phones,” reinforcing his presence as a self-made force in hip-hop. Trizzy’s music reflects resilience, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to authenticity.
In 2007, he developed the alias Trizzy from a family member. In the summer of 2009, he was apart of a local music group named Dub Club, producing 80% of the group’s music. He developed the alias Trizzy Beats when he started receiving local recognition for his involvement in Dub Club’s compilation series. In 2010 Travon took a short break from producing music and decided to develop his rapping skills to become a rapper. In 2011, while still enrolled in high school, Travon began uploading videos of instrumentals created in his bedroom on YouTube, including covers of contemporary hit songs along with occasional originals, for which he accomplished himself on FL Studio. Later on, he released his first single, “Young Dreams.” However, after a short period of using his stage name, he decided to change his name back to Trizzy.
After writing his first song at age five and teaching himself to create instrumentals at 12, Trizzy dedicated his childhood to making music. Despite realizing early on that he wanted to be a musician, he never saw himself as a performer and just wanted to make music, developing a stage fright.
Travon Howard graduated from Thomas R. Proctor High School in Utica, New York. Before graduating, Howard attended Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!), a groundbreaking and exciting program that transforms middle and high school students into real, confident entrepreneurs.
